This Privacy Policy explains how the information obtained while you visit the drarzuercan.com website (the “Site”) and use the information and contact options it offers is used and protected. The Site is operated by Op. Dr. Arzu Ercan, Cardiovascular Surgeon. The statutory information on the processing of your personal data is given in the Privacy Notice (KVKK) and the details on cookies in the Cookie Policy; this policy complements those texts.
1. What information do we collect?
When you visit the Site only to read, no personal information is requested from you. The following information is processed only when you share it or give your consent:
- Contact and appointment forms: first name, last name, phone number, e-mail address and the content of your message. You are not required to include health information in the form; if you do, it is used only to respond to your request.
- WhatsApp and phone: your number and message when you call us or write on WhatsApp.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and their duration. Measurement and advertising cookies work only if you consent in the preference panel.
2. How do we use the information?
- To receive your appointment, information and consultation requests and to get back to you.
- To keep the Site secure and to prevent unsolicited submissions and misuse.
- With your consent, to measure the use of the Site with anonymous statistics and to improve its content.
- To fulfil our legal obligations.
Information collected through your forms and messages is not shared with or sold to third parties without your knowledge or explicit consent, and is not used for commercial purposes other than treatment and information. No marketing e-mails or SMS are sent without your permission.
3. Who is the information shared with?
Only Op. Dr. Arzu Ercan and the team handling appointment processes can access your information. Our hosting, e-mail and technical support providers have access only to the extent the service requires and under confidentiality obligations. The providers of the measurement and advertising tools you consent to (Google, Meta) and the WhatsApp (Meta) servers may be located abroad. Your information may be disclosed to legally authorised public authorities only upon their request and as required by the applicable legislation.
4. How long is the information kept?
Your form and message data is kept for a maximum of 2 years after your request has been concluded, or longer where legislation requires or a dispute exists. Retention periods for cookie data are set out in the Cookie Policy. Data whose retention period has expired is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
5. Security
All pages and forms on the Site are transmitted encrypted with SSL (HTTPS). The information we collect is stored in environments that are not open to the public and whose access is limited by authorisation. Due to the nature of the internet, no transmission is one hundred percent secure; please let us know if you notice anything suspicious.
6. Cookies and measurement

The forms on the Site are not intended for persons under 18. An appointment request for a patient under 18 should be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
9. Your rights and contact
